About Us

“Exceptional” has always been a special word to me. The first week of my diagnosis with terminal brain cancer, we created “Exceptional Seana”. I really liked it because both words made a “shhh” sound! Other than the sound, I wanted to be the exception to the 1 year prognosis that comes along with DIPG. Soon after my diagnosis, we released “Exceptional Seana” merch, and I still wear it to this day. “Exceptional Seana” will always mean a lot to me. It was the reminder that I needed so I could survive each day.

Last year on my birthday, I released “More Than Exceptional” as my new “brand”. You may be wondering what it exactly means…

I knew I wanted to hand draw the logo because it gave me a sense of ownership and connection to the brand. I also knew I wanted to include some symbols that felt special to me, including the heart 💗 (because I just love to love!), the cross ✝️ (because I love Jesus!), the sun ☀️ (because I love the sun and have been told I am a bright light!), and the butterfly  (surprisingly I am scared of butterflies in real life lol but they still represent beauty to me, for many reasons!).

Now, the phrase “More Than….” Why? Why not continue “Exceptional Seana”? Well, to be honest, because I am More Than “Exceptional Seana”. I am More Than cancer. I am More Than the affect this disease has had on my health. I am More Than the 1 year prognosis. I am More Than DIPG. I am More Than Exceptional!

Thank you to @irishjackamo for being not only the Director of E commerce who was behind all the logistics of the More Than Exceptional shop, but an amazing friend who I’ve known since we were 7. The project we’ve been working on for months has come to life!!

Thank you to my parents for always loving me and supporting me in all my endeavors.

And thank you to all of you for also always being there for me, in whichever way you can. I feel so blessed.
